ID HVAC helping to reduce metal theft
January 2012

ID HVAC & Energy has designed and installed specialist vandal proof containment for it's HVAC systems, in a bid to help combat the growing metal and cable theft facing clients.
HVAC systems contain large quantities of copper and metal, and as a result are a focus of unwanted attention from vandals and thieves cashing in on the rising scrap metal prices. ID HVAC has found that vandalism to rooftop and back of house units is becoming ever increasingly common to its customers, with incidences of theft costing thousands of pounds.
As a result ID HVAC are designing and installing tailored ductwork units to help protect the high voltage copper cabling used in air conditioning and heating systems. Using its in-house metal and ducting fabrication facility, ID HVAC is containing the cabling in vandal resistant housing, designing it to suit the difficult conditions that can be found on rooftops or in industrial areas.
As well as ductwork for cable protection, ID HVAC is providing protection for the air handling units that cost tens of thousands of pounds through protective cages.
